Now Do This, and The Single- Tasking Philosophy |... →
Uncanny. Two years ago, I had this very idea. Although, instead of calling it “Now Do This,” I was calling it “Do This Now.” I also played with the names Triage and … wait for it … Monotask. In…

A good open source graphing plugin for Rails.
Quick Public Service Announcement … I’ve “unfollowed” my Twitter feed from charliepark.org. The way I figure it, anyone who knows about my blog either already follows me on Twitter or gets my Twitter updates as a status feed in Facebook. So to reduce the noise, the blog now only re-posts my del.icio.us bookmarks. And I’ll still post, on occasion, with more blog-worthy...
Act 3 of Dr. Horrible? Meh. Can’t really comment without spoilers. So I’ll have to leave it as ‘meh.’ 1 and 2 were phenomenal. 3? Notsomuch.

What you are worth is not measurable in hype, praise, or temporal glory. Remember: When journalists praise you, it’s not because they love you. It’s because they love themselves, and they have a…

A review of The Dark Knight from Brant Hansen. Invokes Barzun, etc. “This is a well-made, pointless movie, that merely points to our exhaustion as a culture.”

ROCK!STAR! I think I just figured out an issue that had shut down new code development on PB for the last few weeks. Yay for side projects!
is insomnial (?) after too much wine.
is coffeeing up and heading to the law library to get stuff done. Seriously … it’s a block from Murky. Why don’t people know about this?
That’s weird. Someone who I’m *not* following (either in my ‘following’ list or their ‘followers’ list) is showing up in my feed. Wha?
is scanning some photos for a present.
is figuring out lunch.
is totally in love with Dr. Horrible. Thank you @mogrifette for recommending it!
“These are not the hammer.”
is listening to Maritime, and thinking “they sound like the Promise Ring.” Turns out the lead singer’s ex-Promise Ring. So there you go.
is working at the GMU law library. So much less crowded than Arlington Central; So much cheaper than Murky.

Every once in a while, Sarah and I like to meet up with … well … you. We find a cool indie coffeehouse, we buy you coffee, we talk about budgeting (but we make it fun! the coffee helps!), and we…
is awake, thanks to Lucy’s bad dream about an otter next to her bed. A *growling* otter. Later changed to a seal. A *growling* seal.

is off to Hard Times to see a friend before he moves to Texas.
The iPhone line at the Clarendon Apple store is NUTS. Good thing I’m not getting one.
I think I just upgraded WordPress. Yay.
is trying a new “dealing with e-mail” technique. No Twitter until # of e-mails is 5 less that the last time Twitter was checked. I’m at 10.
is probably not going to be on Twitter again for a little bit. See you kids later.
just read an AWESOME post from Scott Berkun at Harvard Business (Digital) … “Why innovation is overrated”: http://is.gd/Uqp
is at Best Buy grumble grumble.
is wondering … will a too-powerful (or not-powerful-enough) voltage / wattage combo from a power supply kill a laptop? Anybody? Please?
is off to Best Buy grumble grumble.
Left the power supply to my laptop at home. Anybody know if I’ll fry the computer if I appropriate a different laptop’s power supply?
is thinking someone should offer a PDF library of all user manuals, ever. You then create your own micro-library and access it as necessary.
is kind of frustrated at how his inbox exploded.
is listening to Wir Sind Helden, courtesy eWeb.
would love a Firefox extension that logs URLs to read later, without having to go through the process of actually opening the URLs up first.
is talking through project management strategy with Sarah, and wondering when we’ll be able to get this iPhone interface working.
is wondering if he should begin prefacing tweets with “is” and refer to himself in the third person. Facebook peeps, weigh in.
Oops. refer*ring*
Wow, Twitter was busy last night. Finally got caught up.
Driving back from Lewis Ginter Botanical Gardens and Chipotle with @mogrify, @mogrifette, and los mogrifiddles. Big fun, as always.
Whatever the equivalent for “Inbox Zero” is for entering receipts into PearBudget … that’s where I am.
Back from fishing. Total number of fish we need to clean? 0. Now making waffles, and seeing if I can slip some cocoa powder into the mix.
Taking a walk around alpacaville with Mom and Dad.
BBQ chicken, corn on the cob, farmers’ market peaches, etc. eaten. Doing the dishes and introducing my parents to Pandora.
Mama and Papa are here! Yay!
So tomorrow morning we’re going fishing. On the box of worms we picked up for bait: “Contents not for human consumption.” Glad they told me.
